Recent reports tell of the recent sale of ThePirateBay.org, which is one of the top 100 visited web sites in the world.  This top rated torrent tracker has been reportedly sold for $7.8 million.  After the four founders of The Pirate Bay were recently found guilty of promoting copyright infringement in April, this acquisition is said to be to pay off the debt from fines incurred.
