Edinburgh Lothians Greenspace Trust held a planting session today at WHALE Arts’ new growing space. The session planted a variety of edible plants in the new planters located at the front of the building.
The growing space has sprouted over the past few weeks with the plants already there almost ready to provide delicious fresh food, especially the kale and gooseberries.
There are hopes that the growing space will continue to expand in popularity, becoming a community area involving the local people and will provide more fresh food for the area.
